Cottages of Belton Stormwater Improvements
The Cottages of Belton, located at 16889 Cottage Street, is a senior independent-living apartment community. DuBois Consultants was engaged to evaluate stormwater-related erosion along the creek north of the property, providing civil design services to protect the creek banks from further degradation and assess the need for additional stormwater management measures. Our work included detailed site visits to evaluate conditions, identifying erosion control measures for the reinforced concrete box on the property, preparing design documents, and offering guidance throughout the construction phase to ensure proper implementation of the recommended solutions.

Vine St. Manor
Vine Street Manor, located at 2300 Vine Street in Kansas City, MO, is a senior housing community offering affordable, independent living for older adults. Situated in the heart of the historic 18th & Vine District, the three-story low-rise building features 60 one-bedroom apartments, including four handicap-accessible units. Before the community’s opening in 2006, DuBois Consultants provided structural engineering services to support the project’s successful design and construction.

18th & Vine Phase II Townhomes
Over the decades, many efforts have been made to restore the 18th & Vine Historic District to its former glory. In 1989, the city council allocated $20 million to revitalize the district as part of Councilman Emmanuel Cleaver’s “Cleaver Plan”. As part of that plan, the 18th & Vine Redevelopment Phase II took place, focusing on the development of townhomes. The new structure consisted of seven one-bedroom accessible units and 12 two-bedroom townhomes. The building’s exterior was designed with brick, strategically complementing the old historic charm of the Jazz District. On the project, DuBois Consultants provided structural engineering services.

Rose Hill Townhomes
The Rose Hill Townhomes are located at 1113 Admiral Blvd in Kansas City, MO. The process to design and build the residential property began in 2014, and the facility was opened to the public in 2016. DuBois Consultants was proud to play a key role in this effort by providing structural engineering services throughout the project. Our team designed the foundations and framing for three distinctive 3-story apartment buildings, ensuring each structure met the highest standards for safety, durability, and functionality. Beyond design, we remained actively engaged in the bid process and during construction administration, offering technical guidance, addressing field conditions, and collaborating with contractors to ensure the finished buildings reflected the project’s goals.

Basie Court Apartments
The Basie Court Apartments, located at 1940 Woodland Ave in Kansas City’s historic 18th & Vine District, showcase our team’s expertise in both civil and structural engineering. DuBois Consultants played a key role in the development, delivering structural rehabilitation for two historic buildings as well as seven multistory structures. On the civil side, our work included designing site utilities, a water detention system, and parking facilities, ensuring the property’s functionality matched its significance within this culturally rich neighborhood.

Centennial Villa Senior Apartments
The Centennial Villa Senior Apartments are located within the historic 18th & Vine District at 1820 Woodland Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. Designed as an independent living, multi-family residential facility for local seniors, the project reflects the community’s commitment to providing safe and comfortable housing for older residents. DuBois Consultants was proud to support this development, providing structural design for the three-story wood-framed building, along with civil engineering services for underground utilities, site grading, and stormwater control.

Martin Luther King Village
The Martin Luther King Village is a multi-family housing community located at 2525 Euclid Ave in Kansas City, MO. Originally built in the 1970s as a medical facility, the fourstory building was later transformed into a senior residential complex offering more than 100 units. During renovation, DuBois Consultants aided with structural design services, and provided the design of the nine wood-framed apartment buildings. Our civil engineering team also contributed by developing site grading plans, parking lot layouts, waterline appurtenances, and stormwater retention solutions. After several years, DuBois Consultants also returned to perform structural inspections at the property.
